Course Objectives

The course is held over 2 days and consists of several sections covering the larger PV installation. Aimed at Project Managers and similar role holders the course objectives are two-fold. Primarily the course lays out the requirement for the G59 based contract and highlights the differences between G83 and G59. This section highlights the need for taking a fresh look at contract structure, time scales and other issues.

The content then covers the need to have a structured time conscious plan of action, the need for feasibility studies, planning requirements, logistical limitations and the legal implications of all parties. The second objective of the course details what extra work needs to be accounted for and how to achieve it.
Other topics include PV tracker systems and mirror deflection collectors. The grid code and documentation needed to support the application are discussed working to a role-play installation example timeline. Commissioning is covered by an example walkthrough using ER G59 and the DTI guide as the standards.
